Stockwell, Ray Named to Men's Basketball All-NESCAC Second Team

LEWISTON, Maine — Sophomores Zak Ray and Rob Stockwell were both named to the All-NESCAC men’s basketball second team.
A point guard, Ray ’07 (Bangor, Maine.) averaged 12.2 points and more than two steals a game. He averaged over 33 minutes per game and finished the season with twice as many assists as turnovers. He also led the team in free throw percentage, shooting 87% from the line.
Stockwell ’07 (Temple, N.H.) paced the Bobcats with 15.9 points and 7.7 rebounds a game.
Twice named NESCAC player of the week, Stockwell drained a game-winning 3-pointer as time expired in overtime against Trinity, propelling Bates to a No. 3 seed in the NESCAC tournament.
