Program Notes

Erik Baker continues a strong tradition of diving success at Bates.
The Bates College men's and women's swimming and diving programs give student-athletes the opportunity to compete both individually and as a team at the highest levels of NCAA Division III. High school students with a commitment to academics with a desire to swim competitively should consider applying to Bates.

The regular season consists of dual meets, including competitions with Maine rivals Colby and Bowdoin to determine the Colby-Bates-Bowdoin Championship. The team also faces other traditional New England Small College Athletic Conference rivals such as Middlebury, Trinity and Wesleyan. The NESCAC Championships are contested in late February or early March, and individuals who meet qualifying standards compete at the NCAA Championships in March.
