Latest NewsBates Skiing Seventh at Middlebury 2/26/ 2005 MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Scoring 594 points, the Bates College ski finished seventh at Middlebury’s Winter Carnival this weekend. In Nordic competition, Seth Hubbard ’06 (Farmington, Maine) finished fifth and Daniel Johnson ’06 (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) 11th in the men’s 20k free. In the 10k classic, Hubbard and Johnson finished 13th and 14th. On the women’s side, McKenzie Kohlhardt ’07 (Wilson, Wyo.) finished 12th and Alissa Praggastis ’07 (Sun Valley, Idaho) 14th in the 15k. In the 5k race, Kohlhardt and Praggastis finished 15th and 21st. In alpine competition, Sean McKenna ’06 (Manchester, N.H.) placed 11th in slalom; Carter Casner ’07 (North Kingstown, R.I.) finished 30th and Leo Menard ’08 (Biddeford, Maine) 31st. In the giant slalom, Dan Loman ’08 (Killington, Vt.) finished 24th, James Pelletier ’07 (Carrabassett Valley, Maine) 29th, Leo Menard ’08 (Biddeford, Maine) 30th. Whitney Fahy ’08 (Carrabassett Valley, Maine) finished 20th in the women’s slalom and 27th in the giant slalom. |
