Bates (7-2) won its fourth game in a row and will play in the tournament championship game Monday at 7:30 p.m. against Springfield, which defeated Colby-Sawyer 88-70 in the opening round. Trinity led 35-27 at halftime and held a 10-point advantage at 46-36 with 15 minutes left to play, until a pair of Stockwell free throws and a 3-pointer by junior Zak Ray cut the deficit to five. Trinity was held scoreless over the final 5 minutes and 51 seconds of the game. Stockwell (Temple, N.H.) and Ray (Bangor, Maine), who scored 18 points to go with three assists and five steals, combined to score 42 of Bates' 63 points.
