Students will write two
essays of three pages on
the subject and readings
assigned to each of them
by the instructors.
Classes will meet five
times a week, 4 hours a
day (two in the morning,
two in the afternoon)
The languages of the
course will be English and
Spanish.
Morning sessions in Spanish are for students who wish to count this short term unit as a
component of their Spanish major or Spanish secondary concentration. They will be
conducted by Professor Fra Molinero.
2. Off -campus visit to Spain and Morocco (May 8 to May 26).
Students will keep a travel journal with daily entries. Every two days there will be morning or
evening sessions to discuss some of the issues addressed in the entries.
Complementary readings will be assigned during the travel period.
The visits to cities, monuments and institutions
will be complemented with a series of scheduled
lectures by local scholars and artists both in
Spain and Morocco.
