Each homework assignment has some practice problems listed as well. These are not to be handed in as a part of the homework. However you can hand in any of the practice problems at any time during the semester (until the day of the final exam) to count toward the class participation grade. It is a good idea to read the section and the class notes before attempting the homework problems. You can work in groups and seek help from multiple resources (such as the director and tutors at the Mathematics and Statistics workshop and me) but you should write your own solution in your own words.
