Assistant Dean of Admission
Being from the wonderfully small town of Auburn, Alabama, where college football reigns king (War Eagle!) and sweet tea is a necessity, SEC colleges were the extent of Carolyn’s collegiate knowledge. She learned quickly through her own college search that larger schools were not a match for her, and chose to attend Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where she majored in English. During her time at Rhodes, Carolyn was involved with the Office of Admission where she learned that aiding young people in their college search was what she wanted to spend her life doing. She moved above the Mason-Dixon for the first time to start her career at Bates. Carolyn is loving everything New England has to offer (well maybe not the winters), but also loves sharing her version of Southern Charm with those around her. In her free time, Carolyn is eating her way through the Old Port, attending any and every concert at Port City Music Hall, and cooking her favorite southern classics with her friends.
