Assistant Dean of Admission
Nathania is originally from St. Lucia, but has lived in the greater Boston area for most of her life. As a first-generation to college student, she found the college search process challenging. Her family’s emphasis on education and hard work guided her through her college journey. Nathania attended Salem State University in Salem, MA and recently became a double alumna, with a BS in Social Work in 2015 and a M. Ed in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs in 2018.
Nathania began her admission journey at Salem State University, and continued her professional growth at Wentworth Institute of Technology in the heart of Boston. Now a member of the Bates Admission team, she has found a place that aligns with her personal and professional goals – engaging the transformative power of differences, cultivating intellectual discovery, and informed civic action. She has found that her true passion lies within social justice, inclusion, and supporting minoritized student populations. In her spare time, Nathania enjoys singing, writing poetry, and shopping. She is most looking forward to learning more about the culture of students at Bates.
