Assistant Dean of Admission
Nicole was born in Quito, Ecuador, and spent most of her upbringing in Northwest Arkansas. After high school, Nicole continued her migration north to Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies, minor in Latino Studies, and certificate in Reproductive Health Rights and Justice.
As a student, Nicole was engaged in community-based learning, varsity rowing (Go Yoke!), the Office of Advancement, and the Office of Admission. Nicole’s work as a Harriet Newhall Fellow at the Mount Holyoke Office of Admission sparked her interest in increasing access to higher education and creating vibrant learning communities. As a first-generation college student, Nicole seeks to help students feel empowered and confident throughout their college search. This passion has lead Nicole even farther north, first to the University of Southern Maine, and now to Bates College.
