Below is a summary of the schedule for Explore Bates; all guests will be provided with a printed schedule upon arrival. Your day will begin at Olin Arts Center, 75 Russell Street, Lewiston, ME 04240. We encourage guests to park in the lot behind Merrill Gym, 141 Russell Street, Lewiston, ME 04240. Accessible parking areas can be found here.

As a University of Illinois-Chicago Distinguished Professor of African American Studies, Gender and Women’s Studies, and History, Professor Barbara Ransby is interested in contributing to our collective understanding of the past and present, as well as working toward a more just future.
