During your visit, observe the day-to-day life of students here. Take in views of the historic quad, the glass walls of our new Bonney Science Center, and the natural beauty of Lake Andrews (affectionately known as the Puddle).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bates is a community known for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3NyN8NqTLOQ\" target=\"_blank\">opening doors<\/a> &#8211; you&#8217;ll find that we&#8217;re eager to strike up a conversation. <strong>You can find more information about on-campus offerings below.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We offer information sessions and guided campus tours throughout the calendar year. Our office provides meal tickets to eat in Bates&#8217; Commons at 11:00am or 1:00pm. Day Visits are special, personalized opportunities for admitted students to diver deeper into Bates. Come for a few hours, or stay all day. We&#8217;ll take care of the details. <\/strong>You and your supporters will have a chance to experience Bates academics, campus life, and the people who make our community what it is. We ask that requests be made&nbsp;at <strong>one to two months<\/strong>&nbsp;prior to your desired date of visit; we will try our best to accommodate your request.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/admission\/files\/2021\/06\/191022_Film_Festival_Class_0094-CROPPED-2-1400x821.png\" alt=\"Students visiting Bates College.\" style=\"width:300px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Due to limited availability, our office is only able to accommodate&nbsp;groups&nbsp;of sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school.&nbsp;If you are a non-high school student group (i.e. school counselors, transfer students, etc.) interested in scheduling a group visit, please email&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:groupvisits@bates.edu\" target=\"_blank\">groupvisits@bates.edu<\/a>. Your request will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis.<br><br>As our office typically sees a high volume of visitors on Mondays and Friday, <strong>we limit group visits to Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. <\/strong>We cannot guarantee our ability to offer lunch in Commons for group visits.
