Why Bates?<\/strong> I knew Bates would be my home away from home when, on a snowy March visit, I saw students laughing with their professors and felt the warmth of a community grounded in kindness and compassion. Over the past three years, I\u2019ve built beautiful friendships and developed close relationships with professors who have become true mentors. The fulfilling academics have pushed me through research opportunities, in-depth seminars, and Short Term courses that encouraged me to explore new ideas and deepen my passions in politics and public policy.
