Ben Ayers \u201999 work in Nepal resulted in a National Geographic-backed production of ‘The Last Honey Hunter’.<\/p><\/div>\n

We are thrilled to kick off the 100th anniversary of the Bates\u00a0Outing Club<\/strong> by hearing\u00a0from Documentary Filmmaker<\/a>\u00a0Ben Ayers \u201999<\/strong>, recipient of the Bates Alumni Community Service Award.<\/p>\n

Ben has spent most of his working life in Nepal. He is the executive director of the dZi Foundation<\/a>, whose focus on long-term, community-driven development has made the nonprofit one of the most effective in Nepal.<\/p>\n

Ben will discuss his life since he left Bates and why the Bates Outing Club was such a special part of his time as a student.<\/p>\n
