DEMOCRACY QUICKBITES<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In a time of global pandemic, climate crisis, and racial injustice, it is more important than ever that we stay engaged with the hard work of protecting and strengthening democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To kick off its new Democracy QuickBites initiative<\/a>, the Harward Center for Community Partnerships has invited public servants, artists, writers, government officials, educators, students, and alumni to respond to a series of questions about the relationship between our democracy and these emerging crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Videos are released on a weekly basis, and the first two are now posted: Joseph Jackson, of the Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition, discusses “Challenging Unjust Structures,”<\/a> and Lebanos Mengitsu ’21 focuses on “Working for Equity.”<\/a> Check them out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BATES VIRTUAL REUNION 2020<\/h4>\n\n\n

Our first ever Virtual Reunion was a success! Over 1,000 Bobcats tuned in to watch the livestream on Saturday. Many other submitted photos to our Reunion Photo board and participated in the Virtual 5K.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you weren’t able to tune in, the videos are still available on the Bates website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
