YP-552 (ex-TAORMINA).<\/li>\n<li>June 7, 1943 \u2013 reported for duty aboard U.S.S. YP-552.<\/li>\n<li>August-October 1943 \u2013 stationed at Fort Schuyler, Bronx, New York.<\/li>\n<li>November 27, 1943 \u2013 detached from U.S.S. YP-556 and assigned to Submarine Chaser Training Center, Miami, Florida.<\/li>\n<li>December 1943 \u2013 January 1944 \u2013 stayed at Venetian BOQ [bachelor officer quarters], Miami.<\/li>\n<li>February 14, 1944 \u2013 in Columbus, Ohio.<\/li>\n<li>February 15, 1944 \u2013 officially detached from Submarine Chaser Training Center.<\/li>\n<li>March 1, 1944 \u2013 promoted to lieutenant (j.g.)<\/li>\n<li>February-March 1944 \u2013 attended Naval Training School ([Aircraft and Vessel] Recognition), The Ohio State University, Columbus.<\/li>\n<li>April 6, 1944 \u2013 in Columbus, Ohio.<\/li>\n<li>April 16, 1944 \u2013 in Chicago, Illinois.<\/li>\n<li>April 19, 1944 \u2013 in San Francisco, California, and assigned to U.S.S. Brackett (DE 41), which was engaged in combat in Pacific until end of war. Member, Hull, Examining and Censor boards.<\/li>\n<li>October 8, 1944 \u2013 \u201cvoting officer\u201d in charge of War Ballot Program on U.S.S. Brackett.<\/li>\n<li>July 9-14, 1945 \u2013 stayed at BOQ, Navy Yard, Mare Island, California.<\/li>\n<li>July 29 \u2013 August 20, 1945 \u2013 granted leave from U.S.S. Brackett.<\/li>\n<li>November 13, 1945 \u2013 detached from U.S.S.
