The groups listed here\u00a0 are focused mainly on biological and related fields. A more expansive list of similar organizations across all STEM disciplines can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverdatascience.org\/resources\/diverse-populations-in-stem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. We encourage you to explore these organizations to see if the programs and services they offer could be beneficial to your own success.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackwomencompbio.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The Black Women in Computational Biology Network<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">&#8220;<em>We are an intersectional community of Black women who are working toward (or interested in) a career that combines computational and quantitative sciences with Biology<\/em> &#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacnas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SACNAS &#8211; Society for Advancement of Chicanos\/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">&#8220;<em>SACNAS is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos\/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.mssm.edu\/diversity\/orgs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Diversity in STEM: National Organizations<\/a> <\/strong>(source: Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>This is a librarian-curated inclusive list of resources and organizations for diversity initiatives in STEM fields.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mymaes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists (MAES)<\/a>\u00a0 (Latinos in Science and Engineering)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">&#8220;<em>Founded in Los Angeles in 1974,<a href=\"http:\/\/mymaes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> MAES<\/a> is a nonprofit organization that seeks to bolster the number of Mexican Americans and other Hispanics in technical and scientific fields.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saseconnect.org\/about-sase\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers<\/a> (SASE)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>SASE was formed in 2007 to support and connect scientists and engineers from the pan Asian cultures.
