The schedule below is for the free Bobcat L\/A Express Shuttle, which departs from the parking lot behind Chu Hall. Students are able to use the lobby area of Kalperis Hall to wait inside if necessary in inclement weather. The L\/A Express provides transportation to locations within Lewiston and Auburn in a limited service area.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The L\/A Express will provide:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0– Transportation to local stores and restaurants (See service areas outlined below<\/em>)<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0– Medical needs transportation (hospital, urgent care, prescription pick up, mobility assistance\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0within the service area outlined below.<\/p>\n

The L\/A Express will not transport outside the established areas of service.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Points of interest within the serviced area are listed below<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisbon Street<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 This is one of the great new additions to the shuttle route.  The shuttle will pass along the route the Public Theatre, where Bates students get half price tickets with their IDs, as well as many great restaurants: Forage, Fuel, Mother India, Orchid and of course, Davincis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaws\/Lewiston Mall\/Sea40<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Sea40 is a great Japanese restaurant featuring Hibachi grills and freshly made Sushi.  The mall is pretty quiet, but there is Bull Moose Music that sells records, CD’s, games, board games, toys and gifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hannaford\/CVS\/Walgreens<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Locations on Sabattus St. and East Ave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anticipated times of arrival at locations<\/a> should there be stops along the entire loop. The shuttle will not continuously run in the entire loop circuit if there are no riders requesting those destinations. Communication between the driver and rider will establish the expected pick up time during transport, and there is no need to call dispatch for that scheduled return. If the shuttle was not used to transport to a location within the serviced area, a call will need to be made to dispatcher to arrange for a pick up to return to campus within the scheduled run. Walmart<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 In addition to one of the largest Wal-Marts in the state you can easily walk to Burger King or Lowe\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kohl\u2019s<\/a>\/Starbucks<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Kohl\u2019s is a great place to get clothes, pots and pans, bedding and more, and Starbucks is nice place to get a caffeinated beverage and some quiet time away from campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auburn Mall\/Goodwill\/Panera\/Shaws<\/strong><\/em>\/Michaels <\/strong>\u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auburn Plaza: Flagship Cinema<\/a>\/TJ Maxx<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 In addition to those listed you will find the Dollar Tree, Craft Mania, and several other stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Center St \u2013 <\/strong><\/em>Chipotle<\/a>, Lotus<\/a>, Five Guys<\/a>; extending down to Center Street Plaza (Axis Natural Foods<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
