Alumni Gymnasium opened in 1928. Among the most historic indoor sports venues in the country, Alumni is home to the men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball teams and the women\u2019s volleyball team. Bates is a member of the most competitive Division III conference in the nation, the New England Small College Athletic Conference, and we are proud of our 30 national championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While supporting national-caliber excellence in 31 varsity sports, including a comprehensive Athletic Performance program, Bates Athletics is also broad-based.
