The following are things to consider, in order to make your event\/program as accessible as possible to every potential attendee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>We highly encourage you to review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naca.org\/resource\/naca-inclusive-programming-guide.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Inclusive Programming Guide<\/a>, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naca.org\/resource\/naca-inclusive-presenter-guidelines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NACA Inclusive Presenter Guidelines<\/a> as reference materials when planning an event or program.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b>Event\/Program Location<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is this building\/space accessible for folks who, for example, may have difficulty using stairs or who may use a wheelchair? If it is technically accessible, is it equitable? For example, can all attendees use the same entrance and access a restroom regardless of ability or gender identity?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stairs, narrow doorways and hallways, and lack of accessible and\/or all-gender bathrooms are often barriers to access.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is the space equipped with technology to amplify the voice(s) of the speaker(s)\/performer(s)?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b><br \/>\nPresentations<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your event\/program involves a screening, is closed captioning available and turned on?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have presentation slides, is the text legible from anywhere in the space? Consider font choice and font size.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><b><br \/>\nVirtual Events and Programs<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Consider how you will caption the speech of the speaker(s)\/performer(s).
