Bates Leads affiliates must upload their student employees to the Bates Leads: Student Employment Resources group on Bates Engage by Friday, August 16<\/strong>. We recommend you communicate with your student employees what your expectations are regarding these trainings prior to 8\/16. You will assign students to the trainings below via member tags, and may also check on your students\u2019 completion of the trainings via member tags in the group. Please note that you must register even those student employees who took part in this training last year.<\/strong> Please find information on how to use Bates Engage to assign trainings and track completion here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n General Training – Includes “Work” It Out in-person session below<\/strong> This training will cover the following topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each supervisor may set their own deadline for completion; we recommend that it is completed within the first two weeks of hiring. Overview of Title IX Policies & Reporting<\/strong> This session will include an overview of the Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination, and Anti-Harassment Policy, information on reporting & support resources, as well as resolution processes for complaints of bias, harassment, and discrimination, including sexual violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Work” It Out: Navigating Workplace Challenges<\/strong> This training, led by staff from Campus Life, Global Education, and the OIE, will engage students in multiple potential scenarios they may encounter in their student employment position. This is an interactive, conversation-based training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Overview of Title IX Policies & Reporting<\/strong> 3:00 to 4:30pm: Peer Advisor Training<\/strong> This training is led by staff from the OIE, Global Education, Campus Life, and the Multifaith Chaplaincy. It is suitable for any students that have peer supervisory or advisory responsibilities, including peer advisors and student managers. The following topics will be covered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rest as Productivity for Women of Color Join alums Alex Onuoha \u201820 and Kati Cabral \u201821 for this important session! Women of color tend to take on many responsibilities and may feel overwhelmed. In this workshop, we will discuss the importance of rest as an organizational tool for joy and productivity. We discuss delegation tasks and ways others can support women of color. This session is intended for everyone – all are welcome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Objectives:\n
