Stark \u201972 Endowment for Summer Language Study<\/strong><br>Due: April 1<br>Given by Richard I. and Eliza H. Stark, the Carol Stark Fund supports continuing language study by Bates students during the summer following their semester or academic year abroad. Recipients will be selected from those students who studied a language formally (for credit and with a corresponding letter grade) during their semester\/year abroad and who wish to continue study of the same language through an intensive, immersive summer program.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/global-education\/return\/life-beyond-credit\/\">https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/global-education\/return\/life-beyond-credit\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Medieval Academy\/CARA Summer Programs and Tuition Scholarships<\/strong><br>Due: April 1<br>A limited number of stipends are available for graduate students and particularly promising undergraduate students participating in summer courses in medieval languages or manuscript studies. The stipend will be paid directly to the student and must be used to offset a portion of the tuition cost. The awards are contingent on acceptance into the program.
