Club Workshop RSVP

The Office of Campus Life is pleased to offer a total of six workshops in the winter semester with topics geared toward developing and refining the skills of club leaders – though anyone in a club may attend!

Each individual that attends a workshop will be entered to win a $10 Den gift card (one is available to win from each workshop!), and each club that attends at least three workshops will be entered to win one of two $200 prizes for their club account! Only one member of the club needs to be present to count toward the entry, and the same person does not need to be in attendance at each workshop.

Transferable Skills with the Center for Purposeful Work
Wednesday, January 16, 12:00pm-1:00pm, Little Room

Join the Center for Purposeful Work to learn about the best way to market yourself using the skills acquired by being a club leader. These transferable skills will be valuable after Bates, and we want to help you articulate them! Learn how to talk about your experiences in an interview as well as how to add it to a resume. Please bring your laptop or something to write with/on.

Join Campus Life staff as we dive into the issues of recruiting and retaining club members. Is your organization losing members each semester? Are your recruitment methods sustainable? Let’s talk about it and brainstorm ways we can improve!

Volunteer Engagement

Join staff from the Harward Center to learn strategies and tips for how to motivate and encourage club members to volunteer for programs that engage with our Bates community and beyond!

Club Renewal Help!
Wednesday, February 27, 12:00pm-1:00pm & 4:30-5:30pm, Little Room

Bring all of your materials to complete your club renewal and do it alongside Nick and Jen! Please bring your laptop or other device that can access the internet. We will walk you through it to ensure your club remains active for 2019-2020!

The Benefits of Collaboration
