Event Staff<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Campus Life Event Staff function as professional support for campus events. If assigned to an event, their scope of responsibilities may include, but is not limited to: attending and\/or leading the T-30 Meeting prior to event start; being a point of contact for student leaders coordinating an event; assisting with serving of harm reduction food; taking event attendance; and alerting Security personnel to attendees\u2019 potentially problematic behavior and\/or safety concerns. Their lens is to help make events fun, inclusive, and safe. You will be able to identify the event staff on site by their event staff shirt and name tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event Security<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When assigned to an event, Campus Life Event Security’s responsibilities include ensuring the perimeter is secure by monitoring entrances and exits; engaging with attendees to establish rapport; completing pat-downs of outerwear and visual searches of bags at entry; assessing and addressing problematic behavior and\/or safety concerns, including but not limited to: drinking, smoking, or drug use in the event space, students appearing to be unwell or unresponsive, and students exhibiting destructive behaviors to themselves or others. You will be able to identify the Event Security on site by their event security shirt and name tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
