Everyone passes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From last-minute &#8216;fit adjustments, to photos with staff and faculty on Alumni Walk, to a joyous cap-toss, these are some of the highlights from the Bates Class of 2022&#8217;s big day.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video wp-embed-aspect-16-9\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t<lite-youtube videoid=\"Uv6sSL0Fc74\" params=\"modestbranding=1&#038;rel=0\" playlabel=\"Bates Commencement 2022 Highlight Reel\" title=\"Bates Commencement 2022 Highlight Reel\" >\n\t\t\t<\/lite-youtube>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<figcaption>Theophil Syslo\/Bates College<\/figcaption>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Anticipation, happy tears, and relief were themes for the many family and friends gathered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m expecting to cry,&#8221; said parent Sandra Capo, who came to watch her son, Chris Capo &#8217;22, an economics major from West Newbury, Mass., receive his diploma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a huge accomplishment. It was quite the journey for us to see him go through the four years at Bates, and we couldn&#8217;t be happier.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even more than a feeling of accomplishment, there was a sense of having overcome many of the unprecendented obstacles thrown in their path.
