Below are the informal and formal names of signature Bates places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Listed first<\/em> are place names acceptable for use in calendar or event listings, signage, and in most written communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parentheses<\/em> are the formal names, to be used for invitations, official memoranda, and other documents of record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avoid slang names for buildings, including “the Silo” for the Mays Center and “the Cage” for Gray Athletic Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
