Updates
As testing for COVID-19 increases, we may well learn of additional confirmed cases, as has been true in communities across the nation and around the world. The college will update this website with the current number of known COVID-19 cases in the Bates community, as we receive official confirmation from public health agencies or the individuals who test positive.
As of March 25, 2020, there are a total of two confirmed cases within the Bates community, both of whom are faculty members.
Following direction from the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, we will notify any individuals known to be in contact with a person within our community who tests positive for COVID-19. Notifications will be sent as quickly as possible and include specific CDC guidance on the steps one should take, depending on the nature and extent of the contact they had.
