Classroom Response Systems

Classroom response, or in-class polling systems allow professors to get immediate feedback from students. These are versatile systems that can be used to quickly gauge student understanding of important concepts, provide discussion prompts, and support attendance taking, quizzes, and other classroom activities.

Hardware & Software

There are several systems available for classroom use at Bates, ranging from dedicated hardware and software solutions that students purchase for class (TurningPoint) to free, web- or app-based software solutions (Socrative, PollEverywhere) that students can use with their mobile devices.
