The Kaltura Media Gallery is a default block in Lyceum courses. It can be found in the block drawer on the right side of the course page. You may need to click the arrow tab to show the block drawer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Media Gallery is hosted at video.bates.edu<\/a>, the College’s video streaming platform. The course Media Gallery serves as a channel for that course’s video content. By default, the Media Gallery aggregates videos that are shared elsewhere in the course, including videos shared on the course page using the Kaltura Video Resource activity, any submissions to Kaltura Media Assignment<\/a> activities, and Class Capture videos. Faculty and students may also upload directly to the Media Gallery using the Add Media button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may wish to change the Media Gallery settings so that videos are only visible to students in the Media Gallery upon approval by a course instructor. To enable this, click the Settings icon in the top right of the Media Gallery and then select Edit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the box to “Moderate content…” and click Save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All videos in a course are displayed in the Media Gallery with the most recently published video first, with options to sort by other parameters or search by keyword. To further curate the Gallery, from the Edit page shown above, click the Playlists tab to create or edit one or more playlists. Once you have at least one Playlist, the Media Gallery Playlists tab will appear and will display first by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you do not plan to use the Media Gallery, you have the option to remove it from your course block drawer. To do this, open the course block drawer and select the gear icon on the top right of the Media Gallery block. Select Delete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
