Students can engage in work regarding algorithmic thinking and programming, in data analysis and visualization, in interrogating values and assumptions in the digitized world, and in the development and expression of ideas in inclusive and equitable digital and computational spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete any four\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.bates.edu\/course-index\/dcs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">courses in digital and computational studies<\/a>\u00a0and\/or courses designated with the C093\u00a0GEC\u00a0attribute, subject to the following constraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One independent study, pre-approved by the coordinator, may be applied toward the concentration. One non-Bates credit, pre-approved by the coordinator, may be applied toward the concentration.
