We recommend following these steps every time you use this equipment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For further assistance, please feel free to talk with DMS staff.<\/em><\/p>\n<h5><strong><a id=\"p1-camera\"><\/a>Part I: The Camera<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>First, toggle switch to video mode<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Fresh<\/strong><br \/>\nGo to Menu &gt; Wrench &gt; 4: Clear all camera settings<br \/>\nGo to Menu &gt; Wrench &gt; 1: Format card<\/p>\n<p><strong>Set your quality<\/strong><br \/>\nGo to Menu &gt; Camera &gt; 4 &gt; Movie rec quality<br \/>\n&gt;&gt;&gt; Change to MOV<br \/>\n&gt;&gt;&gt; Change to FHD 23.98P (24p) for a \u201cfilmic look\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Get good audio<\/strong><br \/>\nGo to Menu &gt; Camera &gt; 4 &gt; Sound Recording<br \/>\n&gt;&gt;&gt; Set Sound rec. to Manual<\/p>\n<p><strong>Set shutter speed<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Shutter speed should be double the frame rate.<\/em><br \/>\nFrame rate is 24p, but 48 is not an option, so select 50 (no reason to change this once you start shooting)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aperture and ISO &#8211; two ways to brighten your image<\/li>\n<li>Aperture: Higher number equals darker image (the range of numbers is determined by lens type)<br \/>\nISO: take off Auto. Start at 100, next 320, next 640, next 800. Never higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Color temperature<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>The world is full of light. Light can change color or \u201ctemperature\u201d depending on the setting and source.
