Bates Housemade Bread

Hi! Bates Housemade Bread is something that I’ve looked forward to every Thursday since my freshman year, but since after thanksgiving break this year I’ve noticed a change in the consistency of the bread. One thing i’ve always appreciated about this bread was how moist and fluffy it was with a slight sweetness and the salty and black pepper crust, but lately the bread has been extremely dry, thin, and not nearly as enjoyable. Has the recipe changed? If so can it please be changed back?

There are actually three different housemade bread recipes, which rotate according to the type of hot cereal we are using up so perhaps this is the reason you noticed a difference. Regardless, we will check into this just to make sure no changes were made.
