Assistant to the Assistant Dean of the Faculty, Kerry O’Brien:

  • coordinates and assists with implementation of student and faculty research grant programs (academic year and summer)
  • builds and maintains databases and tracks reporting for student grants and faculty development funds
  • manages Learning Associates Program and provides support for the Language Teaching Assistants
  • handles logistics of external committee visits for department and program reviews
  • provides support to the Faculty Scholarship Committee
  • organizes the Parents/Families Weekend Poster Session, Dana Scholars Dinner, awards portion of the Senior-Faculty Reception, and various tasks of the Mount David Summit
  • edits and produces the Professional Activities Report, the frontmatter/backmatter of the College Catalog, the Faculty Handbook, and the senior prize portion of the Commencement program
  • coordinates the nomination and selection process of the Dana Scholars
  • provides web content updates and revisions for the dean of the faculty’s website and portions of the
  • assists with the daily operations of the office


Supervisor of Academic Administrative Services

  • Oversee and supervise the 9 Academic Administrative Assistants
  • Conduct annual mid year and year end performance development reviews
  • Provide support and guidance to help navigate the AAA-faculty relationship
  • Oversee recruitment and the search process for new AAAs
