Ambrose Jr. (Biology) received funding from the Maine Department of Marine Resources for Harvest Size, Growth, and Harvest Efficiency of Glycera dibranchiata from Intertidal Mudflats in Mid-Coast Maine and funding from the Research Council of Norway for Diet and Reproductive Output in Arctic Molluscs: The Importance of Ice Algae and Phytoplankton

Rachel N. Austin (Chemistry) received funding for the Department of Energy/University of Maine for Thermal Conversion of Woody Biomass to Fuels and Chemicals

Holly A. Ewing (Environmental Studies) received funding from the L.L. Bean Acadia Research Fellowship for Soil as a Mediator between Atmospheric Deposition and Streamwater; and from the National Science Foundation for Training Students in Analysis of Fog Chemistry

Sue E. Houchins (African American Studies) received funding from the National Fellowship Foundation for Sabbatical and Career Enhancement in the FY 2008
