Over 180 alumni and parents are offering in-person and virtual job shadows this year in a wide<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/purposeful-work\/files\/2021\/10\/2021-22-Job-Shadow-Index.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> range of industries<\/a>. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of professional pathways that align with their interests by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/purposeful-work\/files\/2021\/10\/Job-Shadow-Application-Guide-2021-22.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> applying<\/a> to up to three shadows.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All options, which are posted on Handshake, require a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/purposeful-work\/files\/2021\/09\/Statement-of-Interest-2021-2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> statement of interest<\/a> and a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/purposeful-work\/resume-and-cv-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> resume<\/a> that has been reviewed by Purposeful Work. Mar\u00eda Estela Mart\u00ednez, better known as Isabel Per\u00f3n, achieved what Evita Per\u00f3n never could: From an unknown cabaret dancer she became the first female president of the Americas. But after surviving prison and exile under South America\u2019s most brutal military dictatorship, Isabel was forgotten in popular memory.
