\u00c1slaug \u00c1sgeirsd\u00f3ttir of the Dean of Faculty\u2019s Office wrote in advance of Monday\u2019s faculty meeting with<\/strong> responses to the questions<\/strong><\/a> the Faculty Governance Review Committee has received from faculty and staff.  <\/strong>

1. Legislation, with overview and explanation.<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Here is our proposal<\/a> as to how to reformulate this section of the Faculty Handbook<\/a>. It ended up being simpler to just do different colors rather than do tracked changes. We used three different ways to indicate changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Minor editing changes are indicated in red in black typeface<\/li>
  2. Blue typeface indicates no change to committee charge\/membership, but we have reorganized this section<\/li>
  3. Red typeface indicates our additions. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Lori Ouellette of the Dean of Faculty\u2019s Office wrote to let us know that the Fall 2021 course evaluation summaries are now available to you via Garnet Gateway.  <\/strong>Log onto the Gateway, go to your Faculty menu, and select “Past Courses”

    <\/strong>Josh McIntosh of Student Affairs wrote to students, faculty, and staff with <\/strong>    this COVID update<\/strong><\/a> for students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Payroll Office alerted the Bates Community that Form W2 for tax year 2021 is now available on <\/strong>Garnet Gateway<\/strong><\/a>, if you consented to receive your W2 electronically.<\/strong>  If you are being issued a paper Form W2, it will be mailed this week and should arrive at your mailing address next week.  Form W2 can be found on Garnet Gateway under the “Employee” tab on the right hand side of the screen, and then under the “Taxes” section.  Please select “W2: year end earnings” as seen below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Kristen Cloutier from the Harward Center shared a story in <\/strong>this week’s edition of BatesNews.<\/strong>  Our colleagues in Communications included the story about Assistant Professor of Biology Lori Banks\u2019 latest community-engaged project, in which her Biochemistry students created short videos and packed bags of local food to help Lewiston Middle School students learn about nutrition.  Read the story here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
