Dr. Robert is an experimental petrologist. She studies the physical and chemical properties of magma and how they influence magmatic processes and the eruptive behavior of volcanoes. Dr. Robert’s teaching interests include mineralogy, igneous and metamorphic petrology, volcanology, planetary geology, and magmatic ore deposits.
Dr. Robert also serves on the Gender and Sexuality Studies program committee.
