Michael Osei joined Bates College as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics in 2018. His primary research interest focuses on international capital flows, cross-border spillovers, and the interactions between the financial sector and macroeconomic conditions. He occasionally writes papers in applied microeconomics. Ongoing research explores heterogeneity in the FDI-finance-growth relationship the housing and labor market dynamics.
Professor Osei’s teaching responsibilities include International Finance, Financial Management, Central Banking and the College Fed Challenge, and Macroeconomics.
