Each member of the E-Board holds a specific position integral to the function of the service. Abbreviated job descriptions and current officers listed below. CQI conducted monthly by Co-Chiefs and Captains, with ongoing review done by Head of Service.<\/p>\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"co-chief-aoife-spiesel\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Co-Chief: Aoife Spiesel<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class of 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hometown: South Orange, NJ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aoife (ee-fa) is a rising senior majoring in philosophy with an educational studies minor. After graduation, she hopes to obtain her paramedic license and then pursue an MD\/PhD in bioethics. This is her third year with Bates EMS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"co-chief-nate-shore\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Co-Chief: Nate Shore<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class of 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hometown: Kennebunkport, ME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nate is a Junior majoring in Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies with an English concentration. He is an Advanced EMT and works as a Firefighter\/AEMT at home and in a few Central Maine communities surrounding Bates. This is his second year with Bates EMS.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p><em>The Co-Chiefs of Bates EMS are responsible for overseeing the general function of the service as a component of both Bates College and Maine EMS. The Co-Chiefs are the first point of contact for the Bates Administration and the Director of Bates EMS. The Co-Chiefs acts as the leading Line Officers of the Bates EMS Executive Board. As the heads of Bates EMS, the Co-Chiefs are responsible for being accessible to all members as voices of experience and leadership as they ensure the education, competency, and wellbeing of the providers.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"captain-alexander-voglmayr\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Captain: Alexander Voglmayr<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class of 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Hometown: Washington, D.C.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alexander is a rising junior majoring in Biochemistry with a concentration in Applying Mathematical Models. Alexander thinks that a life of service is one well lived. Nothing is better than seeing a smile on another\u2019s face to him. In addition, the captains work with the crew chiefs in identifying, tracking and fostering the growth of members as they move from 200\/300 to CCIT, CC and Supervisor. <\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"secretary-anna-kozikowski\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Secretary: Anna Kozikowski<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class of 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hometown:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<p><em>The secretary of Bates EMS is responsible for creating the monthly coverage schedule and sending out weekly emails with the minutes from full service and Executive Board meetings. Additionally, the secretary is responsible for scheduling standby coverage for sports games, school dances, and significant events.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"supply-officer-nicole-rossilli\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Supply Officer: Nicole Rossilli<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\">\n<p><strong>Class of 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hometown:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<em>The Bates EMS Supply Officer is responsible for monitoring the service\u2019s supplies and equipment. The supply officer will hold weekly inventory checks of the 100 bag, 200\/300 bags, oxygen, and AED status. The Supply Officer is responsible for monitoring the service\u2019s supply inventory and ordering additional supplies and equipment when necessary.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"membership-coordinator-emma-collins\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Membership Coordinator: Emma Collins<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\">\n<p><strong>Class of 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hometown: Woolwich, ME<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<em>The Membership Coordinator of Bates EMS is responsible for keeping all current members of the service licensed and compliant with Maine EMS policies. The Membership Coordinator also facilitates the introduction of new members to the service. This includes coordinating an on campus EMS course in partnership with United Ambulance Service and the Bates Administration. In addition, this position will assist members with re-licensure and obtaining Continuing Education Hours.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"btn-wrap\">\n\t<div class=\"btn-action\" id=\"public-information-officer-ansley-higgins\">\n\t\t<h3 class=\"btn-title\">Public Information Officer: Ansley Higgins<\/h3>\n\t\t<div class=\"btn-arrow\"><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"btn-content\">\n<p><strong>Class of 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hometown: Morristown, NJ<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\">Ansley<\/span>\u00a0is a rising senior majoring in neuroscience with a chemistry minor. After graduation, she is planning on pursuing an MD. She has been an EMT for three years.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Public Information Officer is responsible for maintaining the official BEMS social media accounts and regularly posting informative content per the BEMS social media policy.
