We in the Office of Equity and Inclusion are excited to contiunue our Inclusion and Social Justice Mini Grant Program! We will begin accepting applications for Fall 2018 on September 10, 2018.


Overview & Aims: We are committed to infusing inclusion and social justice into every aspect of campus life, and we need your help!

Are you interested in creating a project, program, or initiative that enhances inclusion, social justice, and equity on campus? If so, consider applying for this grant! Your project could take the form of a training program, a discussion forum, an art installation, a campus conversation, an ongoing series of workshops, or any other practice that helps to embed inclusion and social justice in our community.

Eligibility: Students, staff, and faculty are eligible to apply.

Funding: Generally speaking, we can support grants of up to $500 per project until our budget of $2,500 per semester is depleted. Grants may be awarded to individuals or groups. Individual and/or group applicants may only be awarded one grant per academic year.

Application process: Our application process involves two steps: 1) an introductory conversation about your idea and 2) an official application. We invite you to e-mail a one-paragraph proposal to Gwen Lexow, Interim Director of the OED, requesting consideration of the project. This e-mail should describe the project, detail the project’s rationale, outline a target audience, propose a timeline for completion and implementation, and list methods for the project’s impact.

Gwen will schedule a brief meeting with you to review your project proposal. At that time, you will either be invited to submit an official grant application or to revise your initial proposal to better meet the goals for the grant.

All official applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision within 10 business days after an application has been received.
