Student Equity and Inclusion Small Grant Application

This application is for students only. Students may apply for a small grant to support equity and inclusion activities, programming and development (conferences, workshops, trainings, etc.). We recommend that you work with an advisor as you move through the application process. Please apply for a small grant 2-4 weeks before your planned activity, program or development opportunity.

Application for Student consideration of small grant funding to support equity and inclusion development, programming, conferences and speakers
  • Please enter your class year as identified by your anticipated graduation date i.e. 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023
  • Funds Available up to $500 for individuals and $1000 for groups/organizations/student collaborations and speakers (for groups/organizations/student collaborations). Funds cannot be awarded for collaborations with campus offices or academic departments.
  • Describe the request for funding. Please include - title of project, name of presenter, name of conference as they apply; how will this money impact students individually or as a community/population; timeline, budget, student collaborations and other funding. Preference will be given to proposals that directly connect to equity, inclusion, accessibility, diversity, social and educational justice and/or the professional/academic development of students as it applies to future and/or present courses of study and/or employment. Proposals that give appropriate lead time (3-5 weeks for group/club programs and 2-4 weeks for individuals) are likely to be more successful than last minute requests. Funds cannot be used for: personal travel, academic research or activities that are not centered on equity and inclusion as described above.
