Logan Puck is a comparativist specializing in Latin American Politics. His research focuses on plural policing in Mexico and the relationship between the state and the private security industry. His current project investigates the ways in which Mexican states wield hybrid police forces and their impact on democracy. Logan earned an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He was also a Fulbright Scholar in Mexico in 2013-2014. His research has been published in Latin American Politics and Society and Democracy and Security.
