Loring M. Danforth, Charles A. Dana Professor of Anthropology, is the author of five books, The Death Rituals of Rural Greece; Firewalking and Religious Healing: The Anastenaria of Greece and the American Firewalking Movement; The Macedonian Conflict: Ethnic Nationalism in a Transnational World (all published by Princeton University Press); Children of the Greek Civil War (with Riki Van Boeschoten published by the University of Chicago Press); and Crossing the Kingdom: Portraits of Saudi Arabia (forthcoming from the University of California Press), and Phantom Punch: Contemporary Art from Saudi Arabia with Dan Mills.
