She holds a B.S in Wildlife Ecology and Secondary Education from the University of Maine and a M.S. in Conservation Biology from Antioch University New England. Previously, Rebecca held leadership roles with the Island Institute as well as the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance, where she supported rural communities on climate change adaptation, aquaculture and K-12 STEM education. She has received and managed several National Science Foundation grants throughout her career, focused on K-12 place-based STEM education and exploration.
