A few quick items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employee Testing<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Please see the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/hr\/covid-19-testing-for-employees\/\" target=\"_blank\">HR website for information on employee testing<\/a>. This covers material from the Thursday information session,\u00a0<strong><u><em>and more<\/em><\/u><\/strong>. Key highlights from the website are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Employee testing is an important public health measure, like face coverings and hand washing, to prevent outbreaks.<\/li><li>Employees will need to sign a consent form before being able to test; this form will be available on the website and Garnet Gateway in August.<\/li><li>Testing is scheduled to start the week of 8\/17; we will continue to provide updates as we get into August.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sunday Reminders<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/hr\/covid-19-resources\/self-monitoring-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\">Self-monitor<\/a>\u00a0for symptoms; stay home if sick!<\/li><li>Follow state\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.maine.gov\/covid19\/\" target=\"_blank\">orders<\/a>\u00a0on requirements for those who leave the state; 211 is a resource for questions.<\/li><li>Thanks to all for the active participation in face coverings and other Bates COVID\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/hr\/covid-19-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\">policies<\/a>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Be well, Geoff<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues, I hope you&#8217;ve had a good weekend.
