Bates participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans or Dependents of Veterans.<\/p>\n

A provision of the Post-9\/11 GI Bill\u00ae, the Yellow Ribbon Program provides partial funding for veterans (and their spouses or dependents) to cover the cost of tuition at participating private colleges and universities. For the 2025-26 academic year, the Post 9\/11 GI Bill\u00ae federal funding formula provides $$29,920.95 for tuition and mandatory fees. The Yellow Ribbon Program then pays for tuition and mandatory fees in excess of $29,920.95 up to a maximum amount set by the institution per academic year.<\/p>\n

Bates provides a matching school contribution of up to $17,500 for an unlimited number of students annually, upon receipt of all completed application requirements.<\/p>\n

  1. Complete a\u00a0Yellow Ribbon Program Application (PDF)<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Complete the online Department of Veterans Affairs application form. After you complete the application, you will receive a Certificate of Eligibility advising you if your service meets the requirements for the Yellow Ribbon Program.<\/li>\n
  3. Submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to the Office of Student Financial Services.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
