A Bates education is broadly defined and highly personalized. \n\n\n\nA Single Fee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n\nFor this highly individualized educational experience, Bates charges a single fee<\/a><\/strong> that includes tuition, room, board and fees. The 2026-27 fee for attending Bates is $94,560. Costs for books, personal expenses and transportation are added to a student\u2019s budget for the purpose of estimating financial need<\/a><\/strong> and awarding aid.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n\nBates awards nearly $50 million in grant aid, with the entire financial aid budget dedicated to students with demonstrated financial need. Nearly half of our students receive financial aid, and the average financial aid award, including grant, loan and work, is more than $64,500. Our entire financial aid budget supports students with demonstrated financial need.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
