This section contains information and videos about \u201cCommunity Exploration, Expectations, and Supports at Bates.\u201d This broad topic will be covered in 2 sections, and the second section will open on August 5, 2025. To access Lyceum please go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/quad.bates.edu\/\">Quad<\/a> and click on the button labeled \u201cLyceum\u201d. <a href=\"https:\/\/lyceum.bates.edu\/course\/view.php?id=7873&amp;section=4\">You may access the section directly here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Please be sure to engage with all of the information at your Summer Resources Lyceum page, which you have had access to since June 3, 2025, BEFORE you arrive at Bates.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/about\/mission\/\">college\u2019s mission statement<\/a> makes clear, Bates is \u201ca collaborative residential community.\u201d Therefore, we have certain responsibilities toward ourselves and others to promote health, wellness, communication, respect, and love. Only then can we realize our aim of \u201ccultivating intellectual discovery and informed civic action.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section of your Summer Resources provides information on a range of community-building resources. It also reviews a range of responsibilities that you have as a member of the Bates community. And, it includes information on our support resources for you as you build an academic community including but not limited to your advising team and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/peer-learning-commons\/\">Peer Learning Commons<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We look forward to seeing you on Arrival Day on August 28, 2025.
