Hello Class of 2029 and new transfer students,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, we are just a few days from Arrival Day on Thursday, August 28, 2025 and the start of on-campus New Student Orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are so excited to welcome you to the Bates campus, and we thank you for your consistent engagement with the resources that we\u2019ve put together on your Lyceum Summer Resources page. To access Lyceum, please go to the Quad<\/a> and click on the button labeled \u201cLyceum\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We draw your attention to a final video and messages of welcome that are accessible at your last section of Summer Resources, which opened today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for taking the time to review these resources. If you have not yet had the opportunity to engage fully with this Lyceum Summer Resources page, we strongly encourage you to do so over the next few days before you arrive on campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are a few important points to remember as you prepare for coming to campus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, your Fall 2025 course schedules <\/strong>were made available to you on Garnet Gateway on or near August 8, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No further action can be taken to adjust your schedule until the opening of the Add\/Drop period<\/strong>, which begins at 7 AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a first-year, you will meet with your First-Year Seminar Instructor, who is also your pre-major academic advisor, on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 9 AM until 11 AM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a transfer student, you will meet with your academic advisor and the Registrar on Friday, August 29, 2025 from noon to 1:30 PM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of these meetings is to review your schedule, and ensure you\u2019re on track for the semester and your time at Bates. You can meet with faculty from all of the different academic units at Bates at the Academic and Resource Office Fair, which is on August 29 from 11:10 AM until 12:25 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
