Please bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>August 28, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hello transfer student!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope move-in and arrival has gone smoothly for you. Tomorrow, Friday, August 29, 2025, will include your first academic advising meeting, with Prof. Mike Rocque,<strong> from noon to 1:30 PM in Commons 211<\/strong>. Please plan to grab lunch from Commons and bring it up to the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please be sure to bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to this meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the academic advising meeting, please check out <strong>the Academic and Resource Office Fair in the Perry Atrium of Pettengill Hall<\/strong>. The Fair will start at <strong>11:10 AM,<\/strong> and there will be faculty and staff available from every field of study taught at Bates as well as from the various resource offices such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/global-education\/\">Center for Global Education<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/harward\/\">Harward Center for Community Partnerships<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/student-academic-support-center\/\">Student Academic Support Center<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/student-writing-language-center\/\">Student Writing &amp; Language Center<\/a> among others.
