Bates Off-Campus Study Application Instructions
Complete applications must be submitted by all students who want to study abroad or on a Bates-affiliated program in the United States for a semester or the year during the 2017-2018 academic year. There is one extended planning period and a submission deadline:
- Before January 27, 2017, meet with Dean Mangieri or Mr. Das in the Off-Campus Study office to discuss the process, requirements, and off-campus study options; consult with faculty in your (likely) major, learn department policies and requirements; declare your major; and meet with the chair/liaison of your major to discuss your plans and obtain department approval.
- February 3, 2017, submit completed application electronically by 4:00 pm.
Applications received after these dates will be considered on a “space available basis” and will require an explanation of why the application was not submitted by the date above.
